Calvin Ng
BComm (Fins) LLB AMC
Prior to establishing Aura Financial Group, Calvin had worked at Everest Babcock & Brown (EBB), one of Australia's largest absolute return investment managers. At EBB Calvin was part of the Direct Investment Team focusing on high yield debt, listed equities and private equity investments. In this role he gained exposure to a wide range of industries, geographies and asset classes through the provision and investment of over AUD$1b in public and private market transactions.
Calvin currently advises a range of Australian corporate in the finance, insurance, food & beverage, resources and technology sector. Calvin's previous roles were in commercial / residential / mezzanine lending at a boutique financial advisory house in Sydney and in a legal role focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the Australian pubs and clubs sector.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) and Bachelor of Laws (with Merit) from the University of New South Wales. Calvin spent 6 months in an exchange program at the Graduate School of Law at the University of Texas Austin focusing on banking and financial services law. Calvin has also completed the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and has been admitted to practice as a Lawyer in Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Calvin is an Accredited Mortgage Consultant (AMC) and holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking), a MFAA Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Finance Act Accreditation and Certificates in Financial Analysis 3 (University of Technology Sydney) and High Yield Credit Analysis (Moody's). Calvin has also completed Level 1 of the Certified Financial Analyst program.

Eric Chan
BScIT LLB AMC
Eric is a solicitor admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of NSW, the High Court of Australia and a member of the Law Society of NSW. He had worked at Clayton Utz, a top-tier law firm in Australia,prior to joining Aura Financial Group full-time and heading the new legal arm of the business, Aura Legal. At Clayton Utz, Eric focused on the area of debt finance including syndicated loan facilities, project financing and acquisition financing, and had been exposed to deals of in excess of AUD$1 billion.
Eric has a broad range of experience in the areas of corporate, private equity and banking and finance. He has been involved in many high profile transactions, including a $340 million takeover of a wine club business , a $575 million acquisition of a leading Australian services provider to the mining, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors, $2.7 billion recapitalisation of a leading Australian energy infrastructure company and a $550 million construction finance facility for a 45 storey property construction.
Eric is a graduate of the University of Technology Sydney in a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Laws. He also holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) and a MFAA Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Finance Act Accreditation.

Shane Shi
BCom (Fins/Econ) BA
Shane comes from a solid background in Australia mortgage broking with experience in consumer finance, sales and operations. He has in depth knowledge of the Australia residential lending market from products to lender credit policies. His strong relationship with lenders in this space allows him to provide options and structure the optimal solution for all loan scenarios including investment, purchase, refinance and non-conforming.
Prior to joining Aura, Shane was a research analyst at an independent equities research house in Sydney focusing on stocks listed on the ASX.
Shane holds a Bachelor of Economics (majors in Finance & Economics) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales. He had studied at the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas Austin focusing on finance, capital markets and investments. Shane also holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking).

Pathum Dissanayake
BCom (Fins/Econ) LLB
Pathum has a background in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and project financing, and investment management. He has previously worked for Brookfield Australia, within their infrastructure sponsorship and investment team, where he was involved in a range of Public Private Partnership projects within the social infrastructure sector, and Brookfield Asset Management's acquisition of the Babcock and Brown Infrastructure Fund. Prior to this, Pathum worked as an analyst at Macquarie Capital Advisers within their infrastructure team across a number of greenfield infrastructure transactions, focusing on social and economic infrastructure.
In addition, Pathum has experience working as a research analyst at a global macro hedge fund and as a structured finance analyst at a credit ratings agency.
Pathum holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance and Economics and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New South Wales (with Merit), with a concentration in Financial and Commercial Law subjects.

John Kolenda
John has a long history of corporate experience in Australia. John jointly founded X Inc in 2004 and, following its $10 billion merger with the mortgage broking operations of Ray White in late 2007, is now challenging for market leadership. John was an Executive Director of the merged entity Loan Market Group, comprising X Inc Finance, Loan Market and realestate.com.au Home Loans before selling his shareholding in September 2009. Prior to X Inc John spent 8 years with a Aussie Home Loans progressing through senior positions such as regional sales manager, state manager, executive sales manager and general sales manager.
John also has extensive private equity experience in property, finance, insurance and the food &beverage sector. John serves as a Director of several companies including Veneziano Coffee, Victus International, Groove Train Restaurant Group and 1300 Home Loan.
Prior to his career in finance he spent 10 years in real estate where he demonstrated his expertise across a wide range of areas including property acquisition, development, financing and sales.
